Candle care is essential

There is a way to burn candles correctly and two items every candle owner should possess is a wick trimmer and a snuffer.

Before you light any candle, please follow our instructions carefully and always read the warning labels.

  • Never leave a candle burning unattended.
  • Never move a lit candle.
  • Keep burning candles away from drafts, air vents, children and pets.
  • Always trim your wick prior to re-lighting your candle.
  • Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Do not light the candle if it is shorter than 2cm from the bottom of the glass.
  • Always extinguish a candle using a snuffer.

The first burn is the most important burn. Wax has memory; when you light a candle for the first time, you must leave it lit for a minimum of 4 hours to ensure it reaches a full melt pool.

A full melt pool is when the wax has melted and has reached the edges of the glass.
